Post-study work permits in different countries
United States: STEM program graduates in the USA have the advantage of a three-year post study work permit, while non-STEM program graduates can enjoy a one-year duration of post study work permit.
United Kingdom: A Graduate visa gives you permission to stay in the UK for at least 2 years after successfully completing a course in the UK.
Europe (general): European countries have varying policies regarding post-study work permits. Graduates can qualify for anywhere between 6 months to several years of post-study work visa based on the country and program they study.
Canada: The Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) in Canada allows international students to work for up to 3 years after completing their studies at a designated learning institution in Canada.
Australia: The Temporary Graduate visas (subclass 485) are for international students who have recently graduated with a degree from an Australian institution. It lets graduates live, work and study in Australia, usually between 1 and 5 years, depending on the qualification.
China: International graduates with a master’s degree or above from a university in China are immediately eligible to apply for work visas within one year of graduation.
