Dr. Manyo holds a PhD in Political Marketing from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, an MPhil in Marketing from the University of Ghana Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). She is a cross-disciplinary academic who believes in evidence-led, hands-on, and collaborative teaching and research. She has expertise in Political and Corporate Marketing and Branding, Strategic communication, Campaigns and advocacy, Political management and Public policy.
Currently, she is a lecturer at the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UniMAC). Before joining academia full-time, she worked with corporate and civil society organizations such as the Institute for Democratic Governance (IDEG), Vodafone Ghana, Brand Care Limited and Magvlyn Industries Limited. She has over a decade of experience working effectively with civil society organizations, and universities and on multiple projects with industries in Ghana.
As a research-led but practice-oriented academic, she has contributed to research and peer-reviewed publications on political branding in Ghana and the UK. Her works can be found in books such as The Routledge Companion to Marketing and Society; Routledge Handbook of Public Policy in Africa; Political Marketing and Management in Ghana, Routledge Handbook of Public Policy Making in Ghana and Political Marketing and Management in the UK 2024 election. Given her experience and expertise, she will make a keynote presentation on ‘Branding Political Leaders-what Do the Public Really Want’ at the 2025 Global Political Marketing and Management Network Conference in Dundee, Scotland.
Alfred is people development enthusiast. Currently with the Head of Talent, Learning n Org Development Ecobank. He likes concept of putting people at the center of design and to create business value through capacity building. He likes to read biographies and auto biographies. One of his is strongest convictions is that you only get old on the day you stop learning.
