One scholarship is available for the academic year 2025/2026, exclusively for applicants from North America (citizens of the United States or Canada).

The American Friends of SSE (AFSSE) scholarship fully covers the tuition fee for the MSc program. Funding for additional expenses, such as living costs, is not included in the scholarship. The deadline for the application is January 15.

The application process:
SSE awards a number of scholarships that are funded by generous private donations. Scholarships are available on a competitive basis for students admitted to one of our five MSc programs. The scholarship application is submitted together with the program application.

All scholarship applications are assessed by a selection committee, taking into consideration the relevance and the quality of the personal motivation, academic excellence, relevant extracurricular activities, program cohort diversity and the distribution of scholarships across all programs.

SSE distributes scholarship offers to our best candidates by the middle of March.

In a landmark partnership, the QS Scholarships platform merged with ImpACT charity organization in 2020, culminating in a synergy of resources that now manifests as QS ImpACT Scholarships.

What is the difference between institution-funded and QS ImpACT scholarships?

Institution-funded scholarships are exclusively backed by the institution itself. This implies that scholarship recipients need to secure acceptance for their studies at the said institution in order to qualify. It's essential to note that each scholarship comes with its own set of eligibility criteria and prerequisites. On the other hand, QS ImpACT Scholarships mark a collaborative effort between the ImpACT charity organization and QS. These scholarships present a unique advantage – they allow candidates to be considered regardless of the institution they choose for their studies, as long as they meet the appropriate study-level requirements. What does an exclusive scholarship mean?

An exclusive scholarship means that the scholarship is not advertised or available anywhere else but on our platform.
