SEDTAPP offers a variety of programs that partner faculty, students, and industry in the study of real-life engineering problems. Our programs teach students to solve real-life problems with innovative solutions.

Graduate Programs

Master of Engineering in Engineering, Law, and Policy

The Engineering, Law, and Policy degree leverages strengths from across Penn State as the first graduate program of its kind. Students that pursue the MELP degree will attain broad interdisciplinary competence, an understanding of the societal and ethical impacts of emerging technologies, and technical, policy, and regulatory skills to become innovative leaders of change. This advanced professional program is flexible and can be customized to meet each students’ interests, needs, and technical background. The program will enhance an engineer's key features: solidly grounded, technically broad, globally and civic-minded, ethical, innovative, excellent collaborators, and visionary leaders with an understanding of science and technology policy that excel at delivering impact with social consciousness.

Master of Engineering in Engineering Leadership and Innovation Management

The ELIM degree is a 30-credit M.Eng. and is designed to develop the attributes required of today’s successful engineering executives. Specifically, these include increased technical competency, expanded professional skills, the ability to identify opportunities for improvement, and the ability to work effectively in a globally connected engineering environment
